Weta Workshop

Another home of multiple Academy Award® recipients, Weta Workshop is responsible for the beautifully realised physical environments of both King Kong and The Lord of the Rings trilogy. The Workshop itself offers services in design, special make-up effects and prosthetics, creatures, museum display models, armour and chainmaille, weapons and large-scale sculpture.

Weta Workshop Miniatures can create remarkably complete worlds to any scale on its 30,000 square foot shooting and construction stage. The facility includes a large-scale urethane spray plant, a 3D rapid prototyper, three computer-controlled routing tables, digital scanning equipment and a laser cutter and plasma cutter on site. With highly skilled crew, any challenge is achievable.

Stone Street Studios

For complete capacity and flexibility, Stone Street Studios has two purpose-built sound stages, including the massive 24,500 square foot ‘Kong’ stage and four adapted warehouse stages. Supporting these are a cluster of offices for production, construction, wardrobe, makeup and art department as well as a large back lot with the ability to house a wet stage.
