New Zealand immigration law is very strict and demands that we employ an overseas national only when we cannot find a person of similar skill within New Zealand or Australia. We cannot sponsor visas for students. For further information visit: www.immigration.govt.nz
Due to the highly confidential nature of our work we do not offer work experience placements.
There are many different providers of training for the industry both within New Zealand and overseas. If selecting an institution at which to train, we would recommend talking to alumni wherever possible to gauge their experiences and how useful they have found their qualification to be in securing work. Training providers often have careers counselors onsite to provide advice and guidance on the right course for you and on how to turn your qualification into a job. Joining local film societies and volunteering on smaller, independent productions or student films can give valuable ‘hands on’ experience and encourage networking that may lead to employment opportunities.
